Not that long ago, Pastor Tim invited members and friends of MLUPC to pray about how they might serve in the area of outreach ministries. At MLUPC, our outreach ministries include Church Growth, membership, evangelism, and various forms of service to the community namely, Mission Possible year-long and summer ministry. The Church Growth team has discerned three areas for service, so that maximum potential could be tapped: (1) Service for areas where our church reaches out already; (2) Creation of a seeker-based small group ministry as an outreach to the un-churched. This ministry is not for people who already are churched, and it is not a substitute for already existing Sunday School classes or small groups. It is intentionally designed for people who are not Christians or are marginal church attendees; (3) Discerning a possible satellite worship service which would glorify God, while at the same time reach out to those who normally would not set foot in a church.

 

So far, 18 out of the 30 people who were called upon have contacted me, or a member of the Church Growth team. Thank you! This promo is really just another extension of the invitation to serve in one of the areas described above. If you have a heart for service and feel that you have a passion and skill set that could help un-churched people, let us know using the Team 1/30 form.

We will be holding periodic meetings to organize groups and training, as to be effective in this area of ministry. Thanks for considering this important service!
