Deacon Ministry

DEACONS offer a ministry of care, to share the love of Jesus Christ. They also act as servant leaders, involving the congregation as they reach inward to love and care for members, and outward to serve the needs of others.

The Deacons are responsible for overseeing the Meal Ministry, College Ministry, Military Ministry, Prison Ministry and seasonal outreach programs like Let’s Talk Turkey and The Christmas Giving Tree.

Our Deacons are also paired with a senior adult, which many consider a particularly rewarding experience.

Seven new Deacons are elected each year to serve a three-year term.
